To The Cross
The final day of Jesus’ life was tumultuous to say the least. Some final teaching with His closest followers, a gut wrenching inner struggle with the reality of what awaited Him, His arrest and then a farce of a trial, mocking and beating by Roman guards, and finally a brutal death on a cross. However, nothing was going to stop Jesus from fulfilling His mission. He would go to the cross where He would rescue humanity from their sin but He would also rise again giving us new life and hope. Indeed, it is Jesus journey to the cross that sets us free from our past and turns us loose to experience a life of freedom, joy, and purpose.
