Role:
To actively participate in choral performances during Grace Point worship services and other special events.
Win Statement: We win when our congregation effectively, passionately, and accurately worships God for all that He is and has done.
Team Purpose: Participate in worship services twice a month (during choir season) through performance of a choral song. / Participate in special corporate worship events throughout the year as necessary. / Train members to be more effective in the use of their voice and in being a true worshipper of God. / Provide a place for members to build encouraging friendships with one another.
Requirements: Commit to serve faithfully on the Sundays the choir is scheduled to sing. (Exaltation service - 2nd and 4th Sundays. CrossWalk services - 2nd Sunday only). / Consistently attend rehearsals. Rehearsals are Tuesday nights, 6:59- 8:00 PM. (On performances weeks until 8:15 PM). / When necessary practice songs on your own at home prior to rehearsal and Sunday service. / Be a committed follower of Jesus Christ. / Desire to be a "worshipper" yourself. You will be leading by your own attitude of a true worshipper as much through your voice.
Things to do: Faithfully attend all rehearsals. / Arrive in a timely manner on the Sunday you are scheduled to serve. Typically about 30 minutes prior to the start of the service. / Actively engage others in the choir and be open to building friendships with those you serve with. / Contact Sue Schmidt if you are ever not able to fulfill a scheduled commitment - such as a rehearsal or a worship service. / Commit to the ongoing process of growing as a worshipper and as a skilled vocalist.
