Steve has led the children’s and family programs at Grace Point since 1999. Known as “PJ” for Pastor Johnson by some of the children, Steve oversees all ministries from cradle to college.

Steve put his faith in Christ at age 22. After a long search for the perfect church, he met two Campus Crusade for Christ staff members in a Colorado park. With their help and God’s leading, Steve realized that his search would not lead to a particular church but instead to a loving God. Formerly a hydrologist with a degree in watershed science from Colorado State University, Steve also holds a masters degree in leadership from Denver Seminary. He and his family have lived in Nebraska and Utah as well as Colorado.

Steve's goal is to develop at Grace Point a unified family ministry where parents and the church partner in the spiritual development of young people. "By creating the life development concept, we emphasize that ministry to youth and children starts in the home," Steve says with passion.

Steve is married to Stefanie. They have two daughters.
