We are excited to offer this outdoor worship experience! We hope you are too! We understand that not everyone will feel comfortable or be able to attend, and that's OK! We will continue to offer our 9:00 a.m. live stream service on August 9. Both the 9:00 a.m. online and the 6:30 p.m. outdoor services will be the same message and worship songs. Choose which time your family would like to participate. The outdoor service will not be broadcast via live stream. This is a unique opportunity for us to gather for a new, different and memorable time of worship in this season. As a church family, let's encourage each other to remain unified, gracious and compassionate as we give this outdoor service a try.
We are limiting our capacity to 225 people to ensure that sufficient seating will be available as we comply with social distancing and health guidelines, however, no registration will be required.
Q&A About Our Outdoor Service
Do I need to wear a mask?
Yes. Masks will be required while on the property. We understand that some folks prefer not to wear masks, but for the well-being and comfort of everyone and for the sake of unity within our church, we ask that each person wear a mask while on the church property. Masks will be provided for those who would like one and don't have one with them. Masks may be removed during the sermon when seated.
Will social distancing be required?
Yes. Please keep at least six feet away from other families. You may want to use the normal parking space lines to help distance yourself from others (every other space).
What about my kids?
We know kids have wiggles! However, nursery, kids and student classes will not be available. We encourage families to come together and worship as a family. All kids will be required to sit with their family and observe social distancing. Children (two years and older) will be required to wear mask throughout the service. (We know that can be a challenge!) If your kids become too restless and just need to walk or run, parents may accompany their child to the open field adjacent to the building.
Will restrooms be available?
Yes, but only for emergencies. We encourage you to "go" before you arrive for the service. If you have an emergency, GP Staff will be available to let you into the building. Masks will be required inside the building.
Will the church building be open?
No. All doors into the building will remain locked and access to other areas within the building will be restricted.
What about parking?
Parking will be available in the "outer" parking lot. Please refer to the image below for parking and seating information.
What if there is bad weather?
In the event of rain, the outdoor service will be canceled. A decision will be made and posted to our website and social media accounts by 4:00 p.m. on Sunday evening. Be sure to check our website and social media pages before leaving home.
How will song lyrics be provided?
There will no outdoor video screen. You may download and print the lyrics to bring with you or view them on your mobile device. Lyrics available via PDF here.
Will Bibles be distributed?
No, please bring your own Bible or mobile device with your favorite Bible app.
How long will the service be?
We are planning on the being no more than 60 minutes.
When should I stay home?
Please stay home if you have any of the following symptoms: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fatigue, body aches, headache, sore throat, congestion, loss of taste or smell, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. If you are considered especially vulnerable to complications due to COVID-19, we encourage you to join our online services at 9:00 a.m.!
