To help you plan better, here are some important details:

  • Masks are required, except during the sermon.
  • Bring your own chairs as chairs will not be provided. Seating will be on the parking lot asphalt facing the church building. The "stage" will be under the portico at the main entrance to the building.
  • Please be mindful of the spacing and distance between you and other families as you find your seating location.
  • Need a shady spot? Bring your own EZ-UP Tent for shade - spaced in designated areas so others behind you can see!
  • Feel free to bring water! We want you to stay hydrated!
  • You may want to bring insect repellent.
  • Enjoy worshiping as a family as GP Kids classes and nursery will not be provided.
  • Restrooms will be available only for emergencies. GP Staff will be around to provide building access for restroom emergencies.
  • As usual, we encourage you to bring your own Bible or have your Bible app handy.
  • Please park in the outer parking lot. Volunteers will be available to direct you.

We are excited to offer this outdoor worship experience! We hope you are too! We understand that not everyone will feel comfortable or be able to attend, and that's OK! We will continue to offer our 9:00 a.m. live stream service on Sunday mornings. Both the 9:00 a.m. online and the 10:30 a.m. outdoor services will be the same message and worship songs. Choose which time your family would like to participate. The outdoor service will not be broadcast via live stream. This is a unique opportunity for us to gather for a new, different and memorable time of worship in this season. As a church family, let's encourage each other to remain unified, gracious and compassionate as we give this outdoor service a try.

We are limiting our capacity to 225 people to ensure that sufficient seating will be available as we comply with social distancing and health guidelines, however, no registration will be required.

Q&A About Our Outdoor Service

Do I need to wear a mask?

Yes. Masks will be required while on the property. We understand that some folks prefer not to wear masks, but for the well-being and comfort of everyone and for the sake of unity within our church, we ask that each person wear a mask while on the church property. Masks will be provided for those who would like one and don't have one with them. Masks may be removed during the sermon when seated.

Will social distancing be required?

Yes. Please keep at least six feet away from other families. You may want to use the normal parking space lines to help distance yourself from others (every other space).

What if I need some shade?

On Sunday mornings, there are limited shady spots under various trees in the parking lot. You're welcome to bring an EZ-UP Tent for your family to provide some cover from the sun. However, we ask that you place your EZ-UPs around the perimeter of the seating area so as to not block sight lines for those seated behind you. See the map below for more details.

What about my kids?

We know kids have wiggles! However, nursery, kids and student classes will not be available. We encourage families to come together and worship as a family. All kids will be required to sit with their family and observe social distancing. Children (two years and older) will be required to wear mask throughout the service. (We know that can be a challenge!) If your kids become too restless and just need to walk or run, parents may accompany their child to the open field adjacent to the building.

Will restrooms be available?

Yes, but only for emergencies. We encourage you to "go" before you arrive for the service. If you have an emergency, GP Staff will be available to let you into the building. Masks will be required inside the building.

Will the church building be open?

No. All doors into the building will remain locked and access to other areas within the building will be restricted.

What about parking?

Parking will be available in the "outer" parking lot. Please refer to the image below for parking and seating information.

How will song lyrics be provided?

There will no outdoor video screen. You may download and print the lyrics to bring with you or view them on your mobile device.

Will Bibles be distributed?

No, please bring your own Bible or mobile device with your favorite Bible app.

How long will the service be?

We are planning on the being no more than 60 minutes.

What if the weather is bad?

Should we need to cancel the outdoor service because of weather (rain, extreme heat, tropical storms, etc.), we will make a decision by 9:00 a.m. and post the update on this page and on our Facebook page.

When should I stay home?

Please stay home if you or someone in your household has tested positive for COVID-19 and/or showing any of the following symptoms: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, fatigue, body aches, headache, sore throat, congestion, loss of taste or smell, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea. If you are considered especially vulnerable to complications due to COVID-19, we encourage you to join our online services at 9:00 a.m.!

Parking & Seating

Parking will be available in the outer parking lots, regardless of which entrance you choose to enter the property.

Seating will be available in the shaded areas, as noted on the map to the left, including the circle and island in front of the church and the inner parking lot.

EZ-UP Tents for your family are welcomes in designated areas for shade. Just make sure you're not blocking someone behind you!
