Jason Guynes
Director of Missions & Discipleship
Originally from Texas, Jason has lived in the northeast most of his life except for eight and a half years in Indonesia as a missionary, where he and his wife, Kim, had three of their four children. After returning to Philly from overseas, he and Kim planted a church on the mainline of Philadelphia, where he pastored for 16 years before being called to serve at Grace Point. The Guyneses have fostered many refugee children and housed international students from various countries over the years.
Outside of spending time with their four kids, their spouses, and their grandchildren, Jason and Kim might be found long-distance backpacking on some of the most beautiful trails in the world. Jason is an artist at heart and enjoys all creative things, and ministry is certainly full of opportunities to express that aspect of his makeup. By the way, Jason will also answer to "Raden Angkonan," his official title given to him by a sultan in South Sumatra who adopted him into their family.
One of Jason's many life verses is: "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." (Romans 15:13)
