Preschool: This January, preschoolers will explore stories that teach them that every day and every way God takes care of them. They will learn that they are secure because Jesus never changes. They can always trust Him. Jesus is Always Awesome!

Elementary: In January, elementary kids will learn how God brought His people home to Judah after 70 years of exile. Through the prophet Zechariah, God spoke a message of hope to His people about what would happen in the future. The people began to rebuild the temple so that they would have a place to worship God. Years later in Persia, God used Esther to save His people through her bravery and sacrifice.
Big Picture Question and Answer: How did God plan to fix what sin broke? Before He created the world, God planned to send the Messiah.
Key Passage: “On that day it will be said, 'Look, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he has saved us. This is the Lord; we have waited for him. Let’s rejoice and be glad in his salvation.' " (Isaiah 25:9)
January 4 – God Brought His People Home
