At-Home Parent Resources - July 2025

Hello, parents! Happy July! Here's our July curriculum summary for Sunday mornings.
Elementary:
After learning about Saul as king, now kids will learn about King David. After protecting his family’s flock of sheep, David was called into a role of shepherding God’s flock—the nation of Israel. He showed his trust in God through defeating Goliath, his heart for mercy in sparing Saul, and his willingness to put God’s plans above his own. But King David was still a broken human who gave in to his sinful desires. Yet, God showed His love and grace by forgiving and restoring David upon his repentance. We will end July with a focus on the Psalms.
Big Picture Question: Is anything or anyone greater than God? No, God is greater than everything and everyone.
Key Passage: There is none like you, O LORD; You are great, and Your name is great in might. Who would not fear You, O King of the nations? For this is Your due. (Jeremiah 10:6-7a)
Preschool:
This July we will teach preschoolers the Big Deal, “Press Pause! God Cares When I Hurt!” Preschoolers will learn that God cares about every single part of us—including the broken parts—and loves us enough to rescue us from sin and offer us a friendship with Jesus. We will teach preschoolers that God knows our thoughts, hearts, actions, and need.
Simple Truth: God Cares When I Hurt
Theme Verse: “God, create a clean heart for me.” (Psalm 51:10a)
