Happy April! 

Our preschool Big Deal this April is, “Lead the Way! God Helps Me Obey!” Your preschoolers will learn that God has commands and plans for us to follow, and He helps us obey Him. We will teach that we can stand strong in, celebrate, believe in, and tell others about Jesus.

This month elementary kids will continue their study in the Old Testament. Despite Israel’s rebellion and attacks from neighboring tribes, God was gracious to raise up judges who would rescue His people from their enemies. While these judges only provided temporary help, they reminded God’s people that He would one day provide a perfect Judge to rescue His people from the power of sin. We will pause on Easter and celebrate Jesus' resurrection, and thankfully our Big Picture Question fits right in. 

Big Picture Question: What is repentance? Repentance is turning away from sin and turning to Jesus.

About the Author

Sophie Allers

Sophie has an enthusiastic heart for kids of all ages. She is originally from Chester County, PA, where she was raised by parents who worked for the church. Children's Ministry has impacted Sophie's life deeply and she strives to create an atmosphere where kids can learn about God in fun and engaging ways.

After years of involvement in Children's Ministry at her church, Sophie studied Elementary Education at Cairn University and is currently working on her Master's Degree. She has taught a variety of ages, including second grade at a small Christian school. She is passionate about instilling the love of God and a biblical worldview into her ministry, as well as partnering with parents to support them in raising God-loving kids. Sophie joined our team in March of 2022.

Sophie and her husband, Andrew, have three children, Lucy, Theo, and Ben. They enjoy playing outside, cooking together, and serving together at church.
