 Preschool: 

In the month of February we are teaching preschoolers the Big Deal, “Deep and Wide! God Loves Me!” Preschoolers will see incredible examples of God’s love throughout the Bible as they learn that God loved first, loves best, more, and always.

 Elementary: 

As God’s people continued their wilderness journey, they failed to believe in His promise to work for their good by giving them the land of Canaan. Their unbelief was made evident by their disobedience, grumbling, doubting, and complaining. Yet, God was faithful to guide His people and raise up a new leader—Joshua—who would lead the next generation of Israelites into the Promised Land.

Key Passage: 

"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28

Big Picture Q & A:

This is the central theme and theological principle on which the elementary kids will focus. 

Q: Why should we obey God?

A: We should obey God because He made us, He loves us, and His plans are good.

About the Author

Sophie Allers

Sophie has an enthusiastic heart for kids of all ages. She is originally from Chester County, PA, where she was raised by parents who worked for the church. Children's Ministry has impacted Sophie's life deeply and she strives to create an atmosphere where kids can learn about God in fun and engaging ways.

After years of involvement in Children's Ministry at her church, Sophie studied Elementary Education at Cairn University and is currently working on her Master's Degree. She has taught a variety of ages, including second grade at a small Christian school. She is passionate about instilling the love of God and a biblical worldview into her ministry, as well as partnering with parents to support them in raising God-loving kids. Sophie joined our team in March of 2022.

Sophie and her husband, Andrew, have three children, Lucy, Theo, and Ben. They enjoy playing outside, cooking together, and serving together at church.
