Are you interested in gaining a fuller understanding of the Old Testament Prophets, who they were, how they spoke/wrote, why they matter, and how we can overcome our personal obstacles so we can read them better? Join us for four one-hour+ sessions online as we uncover the barriers in reading the Old Testament Prophets, why they seem so foreign to us, how 'modern' they actually are, and why we can't ignore them in our regular Bible reading and study. This is not a study of any particular book of the Prophets, but we will spend time looking at passages in them. There will be some light optional prep each week to help fuel our discussion, as our time together will be more interactive.

Most of us tend to avoid the Old Testament Prophets because they are confusing, sometimes weird, and seem irrelevant to what we face daily. Yet, 20% of our Bible contains their words (almost the same size as the entire New Testament). They are quoted again and again by Jesus and the apostles. And, God speaks in these books more than any other section in the Bible. If we want to know God more, it does not make sense to skip over the Old Testament Prophets as He unveils His heart. And, when we engage with the books of the Prophets, we see they are way more relevant to what we face than we think. God's Word to them is God's Word for us.

This study is open for everyone, and we hope you will join us! If you have any questions, please mail Dave Kneller at dkneller@gracepointpa.org.
