care ministries

We understand that sometimes life can be hard. Really. Hard.

Each of us have seasons where we need someone to come alongside us to help us "do life." That's why we have our Care Ministries at Grace Point. Check out our various care ministries below to see how we can help you "do life" better.

  • Addictions Victorious

Addictions Victorious is Christ-centered support for those who struggle with addiction/destructive emotions, and their loved ones and friends negatively impacted by this behavior. AV meets Friday nights at 7:30pm in room C4 at Grace Point. For info you can contact David Woodward at 215.203.6950, wddav5@aol.com, or Kelly Talley at 267-980-7728, talleykell@comcast.net.

  • Divorce Care

DivorceCare is a friendly, caring group of people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. Don’t go through separation or divorce alone.

  • grief share

GriefShare is a grief recovery support group where you can find help and healing for the hurt of losing a loved one.

  • Rainbow class

The Rainbow Class is a carefully constructed learning environment for children with special needs. Our Rainbow Class gives families peace of mind to enjoy the adult worship service, confident that their child is enjoying a safe and appropriate experience under the guidance of a caring staff.

The Rainbow Class meets at 10:30 a.m. each Sunday. Please Cassandra DeWitt, Director of Children's Ministries, (cdewitt@gracepointpa.org) to see if the Rainbow Class is the right fit for your child.

  • prayer ministries

We're convinced that prayer is the lifeblood of ministry. Therefore, we are persuaded that the ministries of Grace Point must be bathed in prayer from conception to completion. We are humbly dependent on God for His guidance, provision and blessing in all that we do.

Prayer is also vitally important in the life of the individual believer. We want the people of Grace Point to become people of prayer, who communicate with God regularly about their own needs, and who intercede often for the needs of others. We pray because God's Word encourages us to do so. We pray in confidence that God hears and answers prayer.

Sometimes It's Hard to Ask for Help

We're brought up to be strong, self-sufficient, independent people. We tend to think that if we ask for help, it is a sign of weakness. So we try to keep our struggles hidden, stuffed deep inside. However, that's not God's plan. Galatians 6:2 says "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." God wants us to care for others--and allow others to care for us in our time of need.

If you're sad or struggling inside, don't suffer alone. Ask for help. We've got a team of Barnabas Care Ministers who are ready to listen, care, encourage, pray, and help you through a tough time.

Do You Know Someone Who Is Hurting?

Do you have a friend, neighbor, co-worker, or relative who has been struggling with the loss of a loved one, loneliness, cancer, a layoff, relocation, divorce, a spiritual crisis, recuperation, single parenthood, or any of countless other life challenges? Our Barnabas Care Ministers can provide them with the focused care, encouragement, and support they need to make it through the crisis. Tell them about Barnabas Care Ministry!

Our Barnabas Care Ministers are There to Care!

The team at Barnabas Care Ministry at Grace Point has received 50 hours of training to provide high quality, confidential, one-to-one, Christian care to hurting people. Our Ministers meet weekly with their care receivers to listen, care, encourage, and provide emotional and spiritual support. (Males are matched with males, and females are matched with females.) The caring relationship lasts for as long as the person needs care. It's free, and it's a powerful way you can help a hurting friend.
