care ministries

We understand that sometimes life can be hard. Really hard.

Each of us have seasons where we need someone to come alongside us to help us "do life."

That's why we have our Care Ministries at Grace Point.

Check out our various care ministries below to see how we can help you "do life" better.

Sometimes It's Hard to Ask for Help.

We're brought up to be strong, self-sufficient, independent people. We tend to think that if we ask for help, it is a sign of weakness. So we try to keep our struggles hidden, stuffed deep inside. However, that's not God's plan. Galatians 6:2 says "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." God wants us to care for others--and allow others to care for us in our time of need.

If you're sad or struggling inside, don't suffer alone. Ask for help. We've got a team of Care Ministers who are ready to listen, care, encourage, pray and help you through a tough time.

Do You Know Someone Who Is Hurting?

Do you have a friend, neighbor, co-worker or relative who has been struggling with the loss of a loved one, loneliness, cancer, a layoff, relocation, divorce, a spiritual crisis, recuperation, single parenthood or any of countless other life challenges? Our Care Ministers can provide them with the focused care, encouragement, and support they need to make it through the crisis. Tell them about the Grace Point Care Ministries!

Our Care Ministers are There to Care!

The GP Care Ministries Team has received training to provide high-quality, confidential, one-to-one, Christian care to hurting people. Our ministers meet regularly with their care receivers to listen, care, encourage and provide emotional and spiritual support. (Males are matched with males, and females are matched with females.) The caring relationship lasts for as long as the person needs care. It's free, and it's a powerful way you can help a hurting friend.

All you have to do is contact the church office at 215-968-2354 or email our Care Ministry team (care@gracepointpa.org) and request a Care Minister. You can also complete our online Referral Form. We’ll be in touch with you shortly after we receive your information.

  • prayer ministries

We're convinced that prayer is the lifeblood of ministry. Therefore, we are persuaded that the ministries of Grace Point must start and end with prayer. We are humbly dependent on God for His guidance, provision and blessing in all that we do.

Prayer is also vitally important in the life of the individual believer. We want the people of Grace Point to become people of prayer, who communicate with God regularly about their own needs, and who intercede often for the needs of others. We pray because God's Word encourages us to do so. We pray in confidence that God hears and answers prayer.
